The Nelson County High School Band of Pride is calling all its alumni! The members of the Band of Pride will once again host their annual Alumni Band on Friday January 8th.  All former members are encouraged to attend a reception in the Band Room at 5:00 PM; a short rehearsal will follow at 5:30 PM for any alumnus that would like to join the pep band as they play for the Cards and Lady Cards in a double header against Marion County at 6:00 PM.  For more information contact director Mr. Marc Monroe at 349-7010 or check out www.nchsbandofpride.com to stay updated on everything the band is doing!

Dear Friends and Alumni of the Nelson County High School Bands,

 

            A special hello to each of you from the Nelson County Band Booster Club.  As part of the “Band and Flag Family”, you know first-hand the benefits of the Booster Club provides our talented students.  That is why we are inviting you to continue your support and involvement by joining the NCHS Performing Art Alumni Association program.

 

            As costs rise and the band’s needs continue to grow, we are looking to the community with an opportunity to participate as well as help boost Pride in the NCHS Band program.  We are continuing to work to raise enough to pay for the new uniforms for the 2009 – 2010 season.  The uniforms we have now are outdated in both style and material.  It is time to look and feel the PRIDE.

 

            With each level of annual membership you will receive the quarterly emailed newsletter (the name of which will be contest in the first newsletter – April 1), which is put together with the assistance of our students and contributor recognition in the concert programs.  Additional appreciation gifts are noted for each contribution level.  Your donation is also tax deductible.

            We look forward to seeing you at the events scheduled throughout the upcoming year.  Please join us at all Home Basketball games where our Pep Band plays strong to push our cardinals to win.  Also upcoming concerts scheduled are March 23rd Preview Concert at NCHS 7:00 p.m., March 25th Concert Band Festival at John Hardin HS, May 19th Spring Concert and Alumni Dinner (more information to be announced).
