Tuesday September 28 the Nelson County High School Performing Arts Department will combine forces for an evening of musical entertainment for the entire family. The Concert Band and Choir will be presenting “A Disney Spectacular” Pops Concert at 7:00 PM in the NCHS auditorium.
ALL STUDENTS ARE TO REPORT TO SCHOOL AT 6:30 pm IN CONCERT BAND ATTIRE.
The NCHS Cardinal Singers, under the direction of Mr. Marc Monroe, will be performing music from “Pete’s Dragon”, “The Lion King”, and a medley from the new Disney smash hit “The Princess and the Frog”. The choir is comprised of male and female vocal students from NCHS and has performed at numerous school and community events.
The Concert Band, also under the direction of Mr. Monroe, will be performing music from “Tarzan”, “Fantasia”, “The Jungle Book”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Mary Poppins”, “Pinocchio” and many more classic Disney favorites.
This should prove to be an entertaining evening for the entire family. Admission is a donation and all ages are encouraged to attend. For more information contact the performing arts department at 349-7010.
